I started piano lessons with my Grandma Vevedeen when I was 3 years old and started violin lessons when I was 8. I took organ lessons and was the church substitute organist for several years when I was a teenager. I taught myself the viola, cello, and bass guitar. Music is so therapeutic and powerful! It is a true gift from God for each of us. Praise Him! I have been a member of the Southwest Symphony (http://www.southwestsymphony.org/) since 1989, playing in the 1st violin section. I am a member of "Strings of Joy" (www.stringsofjoy.biz) and we perform at weddings, dinner parties, and other events. I am also a member of "EverReady" - a blue-grass group at my church - which is so fun for me, too. I have also taught the "Early Morning Orchestra" program through the Washington County School District (http://www.washk12.org/) for 12 years, and I currently teach that program at Fossil Ridge Intermediate School.
